Board Rules and Guidelines

These message board rules for Heartboard are designed to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all message board users. All posts to the message boards need to be in line with the rules as stated below:

About Your Posts

All posts to the message boards are moderated or read by a moderator appointed by Heartboard Admin.

Please make your posts constructive and polite, any personal attacks against others will not be tolerated

No abusive or unlawful content is permitted. Posts that are defamatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful are not permitted.

No advertising and endorsing commercial products without approval of Heartboard Admin.

No spamming or off-topic material

No impersonating other people including other participants

Please be patient as there are participants of all levels of experience on the message boards

Posts may remain on the message board indefinitely and are searchable by search engines so please think before you post.


Some other general guidelines to consider:


1.1 Children's contributions should be supervised by an adult.

1.2 You may be held legally responsible for the content you submit to Heartboard.

1.3 All material published on Heartboard is at Heartboard’s sole discretion.

1.4 Your contribution may be edited, removed or not published if Heartboard considers it to be:

1.4.1 Defamatory, or otherwise unlawful or that it violates laws regarding harassment, discrimination, privacy or contempt;

1.4.2 Intentionally false or misleading;

1.4.3 An infringement of intellectual property rights or copyright. See below for further information on copyright;

1.4.4 Abusive or offensive, including obscenity, blasphemy and racial vilification;

1.4.5 Of nuisance value, inappropriate, off topic or vexatious. For example Heartboard reserves the right to reject contributions that have been widely canvassed in the forum. It also reserves the right to reject contributions from participants who seek to dominate the discussion;

1.4.6 Compromising the privacy of yourself, other contributors or of Heartboard staff, or containing inappropriate personal information;

1.4.7 Seeking to endorse commercial products or activities or to solicit business;

1.4.8 Deliberate provocation of other community members;

1.4.9 a posting on behalf of a suspended member. This may lead to you also having your membership locked.

1.5 Heartboard reserves the right to archive and republish all contributions to its interactive features across all platforms.

1.6 Heartboard reserves the right to use contributions for internal training purposes.

1.7 Participation conditions may vary across Heartboard interactive features. Specific guidelines can be found on the front page of each.

1.8 Repeated breaches of these Conditions of Use may cause Heartboard to complain to the Internet Service Provider of the person responsible, and in very serious cases, initiate legal action.

1.9 Heartboard expects and welcomes contributions that stimulate debate and discussion. While encouraging debate, we expect all participants to treat each other with respect and courtesy. Personal attacks against any particular member will absolutely WILL NOT be tolerated.

While Heartboard aims to provide balanced coverage of issues, contributions to interactive features reflect the views of its participants. From time to time, one particular side of the debate may dominate views expressed. This simply reflects the natural flow of contributions we receive.

You may contribute to the Heartboard Community and interactive features subject to the following terms and conditions. These conditions apply to any content contributed in any format to any platforms hosted or facilitated by Heartboard.


It needs to be understood by all posting that it is the Moderators job to make sure you adhere to the stated rules or guidelines above. The people that are assigned to these positions are fair and just. If you are edited by chance, and you still have a comment or question as to why, contact the Moderator through the message system and they will be happy to assist you.
