Davey Jones, lead singer of The Monkees, has died of a heart attack at age 66. The group was formed for the TV show of the same name in 1965 and was a favorite of this high school teenager, both the group and the show. I've been on youtube playing back my favorite Monkees song, Take the Last Train to Clarksville. RIP Davey Jones.

Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we're
here we should dance.

In heaven there is no beer
That's why we're drinking it here
And when we're gone from here
All our friends will be drinking all our beer.

Let the Gemutlichkeit roll on. Ein Prosit.

Life is too short to drink cheap beer.

Aerobics are for those who don't polka.

I loved the Monkees and Davy Jones in particular. God rest his soul.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift....that's why they call it "the present".
